October Long Weekend 2026 (3rd – 5th) GCBM58C
Located in the heart of Queensland’s South Burnett region, Kingaroy is well known as the “Peanut Capital of Australia.” With a rich agricultural history, the town has long been a hub for peanut farming, supported by its fertile soils and ideal climate. Over the years, Kingaroy has grown into a welcoming regional centre, offering a blend of country charm, local produce and scenic surrounds. Nearby towns such as Nanango, Wondai, Murgon and Cherbourg add to the experience, each bringing their own character, and history to the region.
Kingaroy already boasts a strong selection of geocaches, and when combined with those in the surrounding towns, it makes for a fantastic full day—or even weekend—of caching. Our goal for this event is to build on that and make it even better.
What To Expect
A weekend program of activities, events and entertainment, including...
Saturday Dinner event
Cherbourg LGA side event

Throughout the weekend, there will be special prizes and giveaways, adding a little extra excitement along the way.
We will also have information packs available for those who register a “Will Attend” on the event listing (GCBM58C).
Accommodation has been secured at the Kingaroy Showgrounds, including Powered and Unpowered sites. There are also additional accommodation options available throughout Kingaroy and the broader South Burnett region.
While preparations are well underway, planning is still ongoing, and there may be additional activities and updates announced as we get closer to the event. Be sure to check back regularly so you don’t miss out on any of the new and exciting things being planned.
We’re looking forward to bringing the geocaching community together for a fantastic weekend. See you there!
