The Geocaching Queensland Association was ideated in mid-2025 and officially announced on 30 December the same year. The aim of Geocaching Queensland is to:
To promote, support & represent the geocaching community within Queensland.
To foster safe, responsible, inclusive & environmentally sustainable geocaching practices.
To facilitate communication and cooperation among geocachers, land managers & relevant authorities throughout Queensland & Australia.
To advance awareness and appreciation of geocaching as a recreational, educational & community building activity.
To host and support events and experiences. These include, but are not limited to, celebrations of community, opportunities to connect, CITOs, Mega-Events, recognition of souvenir days, geocache and geo-art placement.Â
